- Optimal Resource Utilization: To develop timetables that make efficient use of available resources such as classrooms, laboratories, faculty, and other facilities to accommodate the needs of different programs, courses, and students.
- Balance Workload: Distribute academic workload evenly across days, weeks, and semesters to prevent excessive concentration of classes or assessments and promote a balanced learning experience for students.
- Ensure Equity and Accessibility: Ensure that timetables are equitable and accessible to all students, other special needs, by scheduling classes.
- Support Effective Teaching and Learning: Timetables are created that supports effective teaching and learning by scheduling classes at times optimizing faculty availability, and allowing sufficient time for preparation and reflection.
- Promote Faculty Collaboration: Coordinate schedules to facilitate collaboration and communication among faculty members, including opportunities for interdisciplinary teaching, research meetings, and other collaborative activities.
- Continuous Improvement: Regularly review and evaluate the effectiveness of the timetable scheduling process, gather feedback from students, implement improvements and adjustments as needed to optimize the scheduling of academic activities and support the college’s educational mission.
